According to Yonhap News and industry sources, NVIDIA is expected to sign AI chip supply agreements with Samsung Electronics, SK Group, Hyundai Motor Group, and Naver Corporation, with an official announcement anticipated this Friday.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has arrived in Seoul and is scheduled to meet with Jay Y. Lee, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, Euisun Chung, Executive Chair of Hyundai Motor Group, and potentially Chey Tae-won, Chairman of SK Group. The agreements are poised to strengthen Korea’s position as a pivotal hub in the global AI supply chain.
The partnerships mark a crucial step toward a more diversified and regionally balanced AI hardware ecosystem. Korea’s leadership in semiconductor manufacturing and NVIDIA’s dominance in AI computing create a powerful synergy that could extend from chip production to data center deployment and intelligent applications across industries.
As an active observer in the AI infrastructure field, Jeenoce believes this collaboration signals a shift from single-point innovation to regional ecosystem co-creation.
“We’re witnessing the rise of a new AI geography,” said a Jeenoce industry analyst. “Korea’s integration of memory, automotive, and platform technology could redefine how and where AI computation is built and delivered.”
Jeenoce expects the next phase of AI infrastructure evolution to emphasize energy efficiency, supply-chain resilience, and interoperability across ecosystems—key themes shaping the coming decade of intelligent computing.
