Henglong Group Partners with KYB-UMW to Pioneer a New Chapter in Malaysia's High-End Manufacturing - Jeenoce Witnesses Deep Integration of China-Malaysia Auto Parts Cooperation
On October 21, 2025, the UMW High-Value Manufacturing Park in Serendah, Selangor, Malaysia, hosted a signing ceremony of profound significance. Henglong Group and Malaysia's KYB-UMW officially signed a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The two parties will join hands to locally produce key auto parts such as Electric Power Steering (EPS) systems and Mechanical Steering Gears (MSG) in the region, jointly promoting the localization and high-end development of the ASEAN automotive industry chain.
"We believe that the ASEAN market is ushering in a golden era for the localized manufacturing of auto parts," said Gan Hongjun, Senior Vice President of Henglong Group, at the signing ceremony. "Through cooperation with KYB-UMW, Henglong will not only introduce China's advanced steering technology to Malaysia but also join hands with local partners to build a future-oriented smart manufacturing ecosystem."
According to the MoU, the two parties will take Malaysia as the core to establish a regional manufacturing and supply system, providing high-quality steering system solutions for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and the Replacement Parts Market (REM). This cooperation is also regarded by the industry as an important signal that Chinese auto parts brands are deeply exploring the ASEAN market.
Yuji Ito, Managing Director of KYB-UMW, stated: "We look forward to close cooperation with Henglong's technical team to realize the localized production of high-value parts in the Serendah Park. This is not only a win-win situation at the corporate level but also a crucial step in driving the transformation of Malaysia's automotive industry."
From the initial technical alliance to the current deployment in ASEAN, the cooperation between Henglong Group and KYB has spanned seven years. Jeenoce observes that the MoU signed this time not only continues the technical synergy between the two parties in the field of electric steering systems but also marks that China-Malaysia manufacturing cooperation is evolving from "supply chain complementarity" to "value chain co-creation."
Behind this cross-border cooperation lies a shared belief in the trend of "from manufacturing to smart manufacturing." As a recorder and witness,
Jeenoce will continue to follow the growth stories of Chinese auto parts enterprises on the international stage and demonstrate the power of industrial integration from a brand perspective.
