The development of industry is becoming increasingly rapid, and people have higher requirements for the quality and speed of electronic product production. As a high demand electronic product, the quality assurance of capacitors is particularly important.

A capacitor is an electronic component composed of two conductors sandwiched between an insulator, like a sandwich. Capacitors are one of the most fundamental and important components in electronic devices. The production of capacitors accounts for over 40% of the global electronic component products (including resistors, inductors, etc.), and a small capacitor is a complete reflection of a country's industrial and technological capabilities.

According to different uses, capacitors can be classified into various types such as coupling, resonance, filtering, decoupling, neutralization, timing, etc. They are widely used in circuit isolation, coupling, bypass, filtering, tuning circuit, energy conversion, control, etc. If the quality of the capacitor is poor, it will affect the use of electronic products. Due to the packaging structure of the capacitor, ordinary testing methods cannot be used to judge its quality. In this case, X-ray non-destructive testing equipment is needed to inspect the inside of the capacitor to see if there are any defects, thereby judging the quality of the electrical container.

X-ray non-destructive testing equipment: BGA, CSP, FlipChip testing, PCB board welding condition; LED and IC packaging testing; Detection of components such as capacitors and resistors. The X-ray generated by X-ray non-destructive testing equipment penetrates the capacitor and analyzes the imaging. Based on the different X-ray imaging effects of different parts, it determines whether there are defects inside the capacitor. Based on the images, the defects of the tested capacitor are manually judged to achieve the testing purpose and ensure the quality and safety of the capacitor.

As a new type of testing method, non-destructive testing technology is characterized by not causing any damage to the material. Therefore, a series of defects such as surface cracks, internal interlayers, cracks, through holes, etc. can be detected using non-destructive testing technology without damaging the material. At the same time, the location and size of the defects can also be measured. Due to the rapid development of modern industrialization, non-destructive testing technology is increasingly being applied to various industries and important scientific fields, and its control of product quality has attracted the attention of many scientists. According to relevant data statistics, we can see that products tested using non-destructive testing technology have significantly improved performance: the value-added in aerospace, precision instruments, national defense and other fields is about 20%, while the value-added in mechanical manufacturing, automation and other fields is about 50%.
