The quality of reflow soldering is directly affected by the temperature control of the reflow soldering machine. The welding process window of reflow soldering is basically very small, so the control of lateral temperature difference is more important. 1、 The first factor to consider when adjusting the temperature of a reflow soldering machine is the specific situation of the reflow soldering machine equipment, such as the length of the heating zone, the material of the heating source, the structure of the reflow soldering furnace, and the heat conduction mode.

2、 The solder paste manufacturer will provide them with their own temperature curve as a reference, so the temperature adjustment of the reflow soldering machine should consider the temperature curve of the solder paste. Solder paste with different metal contents has different temperature curves. When adjusting the temperature of the reflow soldering machine, the temperature curve provided by the solder paste supplier should be taken into account to adjust the temperature of the reflow soldering machine for specific products.

3、 The adjustment of the temperature of the reflow soldering machine also needs to consider the size of the exhaust volume. Generally, reflow soldering machines have specific requirements for exhaust volume, but the actual exhaust volume may sometimes change due to various reasons. When adjusting the temperature curve of a reflow soldering machine for a product, the exhaust volume should be considered and measured regularly.

4、 The temperature adjustment of the reflow welding machine should also consider the actual position of the temperature sensor inside the reflow welding machine to determine the set temperature of each temperature zone. If the temperature sensor is located inside the heating element, the set temperature is about 30 ℃ higher than the actual temperature.

5、 The temperature adjustment of the reflow soldering machine must consider the material, thickness, multi-layer board, size, and other factors of the PCB board. When adjusting, specific first piece testing should be carried out according to the actual situation, and batch reflow soldering should be carried out after successful first piece testing.

6、 The temperature adjustment of the reflow soldering machine should consider factors such as the density of surface assembly board components, the size of components, and the layout of special components such as BGA and CSP.
