Application of X-ray detection in glue bubble

Release time:2022-07-13Publisher:Jeenoce

Industrial X-ray testing equipment has a wide range of applications, such as lithium battery testing, circuit board industry, semiconductor packaging, automotive industry, circuit board assembly (PCBA) industry, etc., to observe and measure the position and shape of objects inside the package, find problems, confirm whether the product is qualified, and observe the internal conditions. Can industrial X-ray testing equipment detect glue bubbles?

AB adhesive is widely used in industry. It is composed of a and B. component A is epoxy resin and other additives, including catalysts, and component B is modified amine or other hardeners. Only mixing the two can achieve the desired effect. Once the glue has foam problem, it will affect the adhesion, affect the appearance, and reduce the smoothness of the glue surface. Too much foam will slow down the business process and affect the production progress.

There are many reasons for glue foaming. The main reasons are as follows:

1. The chemical additives added in the production of glue are incompatible, resulting in foaming

2. Temperature and humidity of the operating environment during glue production

3. The problem of mixing process in the glue production process, improper operation is easy to make foaming substances enter it, which is more likely to cause foaming

4. Uneven distribution of components in the mixing process is also easy to cause foam problems

When producing glue, it is inevitable that a certain amount of glue will have bubbles, and the delivery of glue needs to be lower than a certain amount of bubble rate. Manual detection of bubbles in large quantities of glue will waste a lot of human and material resources and have little effect. The detection principle of industrial X-ray detection equipment is to use the relationship between the penetration of X-rays and the density of substances. By using the property of differential absorption, substances with different densities can be distinguished. Different absorption of X-rays produces different images, so it can produce differentiated black-and-white images, so it is easy to know the content of bubbles in products to screen products.
