It is believed that many people are familiar with gas phase welding, which is the most commonly used welding method. However, in the process of welding, there will also be false welding. In order to ensure that the work of gas phase welding is more rigorous, the following small series will briefly introduce to you. What are the reasons for the false welding of gas phase welding?

1. Defective PCB pad design

In fact, there are many reasons for the false soldering of vapor phase welding, among which the most common reason is the defect in the design of circuit board pad. The reason for this is mainly because the PCB design defect caused by welding the through hole of board pad can not be used under normal circumstances. If it passes through the air hole, it will lead to the loss of solder and the shortage of solder, At the same time, the spacing and area of pads also need to be matched with corresponding standards.

2. The circuit board is oxidized

If the pad on the circuit board is black but not bright, it indicates that the circuit board has been oxidized. In this case, an eraser can be used to wipe. After the oxide layer is wiped off, the pad can be restored to the previous brightness. However, it should be noted that if the circuit board is wet, it needs to be dried in a drying oven.

3. There is less solder paste on the circuit board

The reason is that the solder paste is scratched on the solder board less often. Thus, the solder height is low. If this situation is found, the solder paste should be supplemented in time, or the glue dispenser or bamboo stick can be used to supplement.

In fact, the reason why there is false welding in gas-phase welding is mainly because the components through gas-phase welding seem to be welded together before and after, but in fact, SMT elements are not fused together, resulting in low strength of the joint surface.
