The increasing cost pressure of large gears in the wind power industry urgently needs a new technology to adapt the mature principle of mass production of small and medium-sized workpieces to large workpieces.


To this end, Klingelnberg developed a new precision measurement center P 152. It can measure workpieces with a maximum outer diameter of 1520mm and a maximum weight of 8000kg with conventional accuracy.


Klingelnberg's design engineers have successfully extended the concept of small and medium-sized series to large gear workpieces, so there is no need for special foundation despite the increase of gear weight.

The three-point support integrates the active vibration platform into the equipment bed. This means that the low-frequency vibration of the workshop can also be safely absorbed.


Because the equipment is separated from these vibrations, P 152 can be used in ordinary workshop without building isolation foundation.


Nevertheless, it can also ensure that all visible changes in the measurement results do come from the gear workpiece itself, rather than induced by external environmental factors.


Therefore, for medium-sized gears such as planetary gears in the wind power industry, P 152 acts as a bridge to adapt the working principle of large-scale mass production of medium-sized workpieces to large-scale gear workpieces.
