IC chip testing, X-RAY equipment helps enterprises improve quality

Release time:2024-04-10Publisher:Jeenoce

IC is an integrated circuit, and chips are devices manufactured based on integrated circuit technology. Before the birth of IC, computers were assembled with thousands of electronic tubes and transistors. In such a large number of devices, if solder joints were broken or malfunctioned, the entire equipment would be unable to operate normally. The current IC development team uses microelectronics technology to divide circuits into small, medium, large, and ultra large scales. A large number of transistors and electronic components are gathered on an area of a few square centimeters to conduct quality testing. Strong precision testing equipment is required to ensure that the quality is OK.

As the current mainstream non-destructive testing equipment, X-RAY detection equipment utilizes the strong penetration characteristics of X-ray to detect it from multiple directions and angles without damaging the chip, such as bubbles, abnormal bonding lines, crystal size, bracket direction, etc.

From the detection image, it can be intuitively seen that the X-RAY equipment can clearly transmit the IC, which has good reference value for detecting the quality of the IC.
