How to Set the Milling Cutter for PCB Splitter

Release time:2023-11-06Publisher:Jeenoce

When using a curved PCB board splitter, if the milling cutter parameters are not set correctly, it will result in a large number of PCBA boards being cut and scrapped. Therefore, it is important to set the correct milling cutter cutting parameters and know which issues to pay attention to when setting milling cutter parameters. What JEENOCE shares is the precautions and steps for setting the milling cutter of a curved PCB dividing machine.

1. Precautions for Setting the Milling Cutter of a Curved PCB Splitter:

A. Whether the milling cutter data is set correctly or not will seriously affect the cutting quality or cause damage to the machine parts.

B. The operation file for cutting path editing has been completed. Please confirm the cutting path after changing the milling cutter diameter value.

2. Steps for setting the milling cutter of the curve PCB dividing machine:

A. Cutting board thickness: The thickness value of the PCB board. The actual measurement is taken as the PCB board thickness, with a preset value of mm.

B. Milling cutter diameter: The diameter value of the milling cutter. Select a milling cutter that is slightly smaller than the width of the cutting seam, with a preset value of mm.

C. Blade length: The more effective cutting edge length value of the milling cutter. The system automatically sets the standard length based on the milling cutter diameter. If manually entered, the value should not exceed the standard value.

D. Knife lifting: When the cutting path changes, the distance between the milling cutter tip and the PCB board must be higher than the height of the components on the PCB board, with a preset value of mm.

E. Deepening length: After the milling cutter cuts the set distance, it will perform a deepening action, with a preset value of mm.

F. Milling cutter life: The optimal cutting distance value for the milling cutter, with a preset value of m. Please set it according to different needs.

G. Speed: The speed of cutting travel, based on the relationship between milling cutter diameter and plate thickness, to achieve the best cutting quality, with a preset value of mm/sec.
